Growing up, my family had a Dodge Caravan and it left a lasting impression on me. It was during the time we owned that vehicle that I came to learn that The Dodge Motor Company was single-handedly responsible for the greatest proliferation of absolute garbage ever unleashed on the American public. Where ever I have traveled over the years there has been one constant: A crazy number of busted, broken, and battered Dodge Caravans on the road and slumping beside of the highway. I took it upon myself to document as many of these beasts as possible.
It is extremely rare to see an 80s or 90s Caravan in action. Half of them were recalled. The other half dissolved in the rain. There are some similarities that all Caravan's share: They all rust around the tires, the paint will begin to peel on the hood and roof, and usually the windows are either all the way down because the air conditioning doesn't work. Or the windows are all the way up because the windows are broken and won’t roll down! See for yourself.
